Prador Moon by Neal Asher

I'm a fan of Neal Asher's books since Gridlinked (de) and have read all of his books.
Prador Moon (de) however is very disapointing.

The book deals with the alien Prador which played a role in The Skinner (de) and the beginning of their war with the Polity.
It feels like that Neal Asher took some background information on the Prador that did not make it into The Skinner and tried to stretch it into a novel.
There are a few point of view characters and I already forgot their names because there is nothing memorable about them.
The only cool stuff in the book were the links to Asher's other books, the Ocam's Razor shows up for example.

It's also much shorter than his other books and the print is very large.
Maybe he needed a bit of money fast? ;)
Whatever...I don't recommend this "novella
"of the Polity.

No I didn't stretch some background information and no I didn't need some money.

It felt like it to me.
If my opinion offends you, too bad.
The line about the money was of course a joke, and not a good one at that.

Nevertheless I'm still a fan and will buy your next book. :)

btw: Could you send me an ARC when your next novel is finished? ;)

No offence taken. Yeah, a lot of people would like ARCs - not my decision where they go, however, and the ones I get I hide in my loft. Cheers.
